From a young age, Vickmont felt the pull of storytelling through a lens. Growing up in St. Louis, he was inspired by behind-the-scenes footage on MTV of iconic music videos by artists like Dru Hill andJagged Edge.

Encouraged by his mom, who always had a camera around the house, Vick began experimenting with capturing moments that tell a story. What started as a childhood fascination grew into a lifelong passion and the foundation of a promising career. Although he briefly attended college, Vickmont ultimately chose a different path built on resilience,

creativity, and self-direction.

Dropping out, he immersed himself in a self-taught journey, learning the craft through experience and countless YouTube tutorials. His first videos were homemade music videos, with his mom even stepping in as his first camera operator. This DIY approach quickly led to paid projects, and his dedication only grew from there.
